I moved into my girlfriends mom house as she was moving out. Then they have WoW cyberspace, (not sure the programme) but im getting terrible cyberspace speeds. If I go to speedtest.net sometimes information technology shows 5mbps or it may prove 20 mpbs.... slooooow. At present when I cheque my WiFi settings on my calculator it shows a constant 75mbps. Deceit seem to figure out why the large gap and terrible speeds.
My current PC setup can handle it so I am non worried.
ryzen 5 2600, RX 580, 16GB ram. has anybody had issues like this and got it figured out?

Your first step is to e'er exam with ethernet and compare that result to the amount of bandwidth the ISP on the plan you have claims you should go.
The network number yous encounter on the nic do not actually correspond the speed they represent the information encoding being used. Indirectly yous can estimate the speeds simply information technology is generally a small fraction of that number.
72.2 is a encoding for a very basic connectedness. Information technology could be the router is older and only supports that or you have very poor signal levels.
All the same your get-go test is with ethernet practice run across what the best possible connexion speed is.

Wired or wireless connectedness?
On your computer ensure that only i network adapter, either wired or wireless equally desired, is enabled.
Only one or the other - not both.
Failing that:
Run "ipconfig /all" via the Command Prompt and post the results.

Wired or wireless connection?
On your calculator ensure that only one network adapter, either wired or wireless equally desired, is enabled.
Just ane or the other - not both.
Declining that:
Run "ipconfig /all" via the Command Prompt and mail the results.
just my wireless is enabled, after running the cmd command there wasnt anything out of the ordinary shown. Once more speed exam is only 24 mbps but when i wait at the actual network its showing 72.2-80 mbps. I can post the results just nothing wacky.

On your PC, run "ipconfig /all" via the Command Prompt. Post the results.
Go to the network adapter'southward manufacturer's website. Manually download, reinstall, and reconfigure the wireless network drivers.
What make and model: modem, router? Other network devices?

Your starting time step is to always test with ethernet and compare that effect to the amount of bandwidth the Internet access provider on the plan you take claims you should go.
The network number you run across on the nic practice not actually represent the speed they represent the information encoding existence used. Indirectly you can estimate the speeds merely it is mostly a small fraction of that number.
